Emergency Weather Sirens
Lafayette Township maintains two emergency outdoor warning sirens to alert residents of severe weather and other emergencies.

Monthly Testing
The emergency sirens are tested on the first Saturday of each month at 12:00 noon.
If severe weather is present or anticipated at the time of testing, the test may be postponed for safety reasons.
Important Information
These sirens are designed to warn individuals who are outdoors of approaching severe weather or other emergency situations. They are not intended to be heard clearly inside homes or buildings.
Residents are encouraged to use multiple methods to receive emergency notifications, including:
- NOAA Weather Radios
- Mobile weather alert apps
- Local television and radio broadcasts
